Project Overview
The goal of the project was to design an Android financial literacy app for students of the University of Maryland, College Park. The project was completed in two phases - while most research was done in the first phase, considerable amount was spent designing the app during the second phase.

Client Feedback
"The thoroughness of your approach stood out – your deep dive into the target audience resonated, and the inclusion of highlighted needs and expectations within the profiles was a brilliant touch. Your well-thought-out interview questions demonstrated a profound understanding of the project's intricacies. The app design itself was crisp and impeccably laid out, with an added highlight on the community aspect, which I particularly loved. Your forward-thinking approach, addressing both current limitations and future improvements, reflects a holistic perspective. In sum, I found this presentation to be nothing short of excellent. It speaks volumes about your commitment to delivering exceptional results."
Designing from 0 to 1
Our primary responsibility was to create an intuitive and user-friendly mobile app interface tailored for the financial education of UMD college students. Our approach began with quick user interviews on campus, the creation of wireframes for the essential screens, with a particular focus on unique features, such as the community screen, which sets this app apart. Subsequently, we went on to design and define the other screens that guide users through their financial education journey and enable them to connect with valuable resources and information.

Taking care of navigation
and flow
After outlining the primary user interaction flow for selecting preferred financial education content, we took a step back to consider how these elements fit into the overall app design. To ensure a user-friendly experience, we implemented a navigation system where all the essential stages can be conveniently accessed via tabs, all presented on a single screen, allowing users to seamlessly navigate through the app and access key functions.
Putting it all together
Once we had established both the structural framework and the wireframes, we transitioned to the next phase, which involved bringing it all together and creating the final user interface (UI) design. We designed inline with Google's Material Design guidelines - per client's request.
